no cold (don't recall any freezing temps)
no snow (none for 3 years)
no heavy rain (v .low rainfall)
few storms (an odd electrical)
limited sun ( 1670 - which must come out when i'm asleep as it seems like 670)

Lima no- the cloudy season is bad enough that it depresses people, and it traps pollution and poisons them. Then there's the lack of water.

The UK is similarly so dull in the winter that people can't make vitamin D, and it can get storms and floods. A lot of it has such poor summers that crops struggle to grow.

San Francisco rarely gets extreme temperatures, but it varies between very dry and very wet. The fog must cause road accidents too.

What about Auckland? Hardly ever freezes, hardly ever over 30C, reliable but not extreme rainfall, plenty of sun. Too far south for tropical storms, too far north for mid-latitude or polar ones. Not a very exciting climate but definitely safe.

They say it's very windy. Heavy winds with rain cause havoc.

Yep, almost as windy as Sydney.

Auckland does get pesky waterspouts and tornadoes occasionally though.
