Wouldn't above normal temps in Louisiana be too hot for you?
The 10-day forecast in Alexandria indicates highs in the mid 90s early next week, not too bad. Those anomalies make for perfect weather here though, because both the average temperatures and precipitation are too low for me this time of year.

Picked up about a third of an inch last night, which is certainly better than nothing.
Do you see any hope of a cool down up north after 7 days? Conversely, need I fear a heatwave in late August up there? Or should I expect average weather, which I'd be perfectly happy with?
I'm watching the model loops... AAWESOME! The way storms are rolling across Southern Canada and curving back up is great! Lots of rain storms in Canada happening.
But this one caught my attention as we move further into the seasons... 540 line digging down already.
Big anomalous 988mb storm Thursday August 20th near Hudson Bay. Temps below freezing above 9000 feet. Temps are below freezing above 4000 feet but West of the storm.
If this pattern continues with these storms, it should get interesting as the Polar Jet stream become stronger and digs more into the Mid West and North east.

So do you see a denting of the summer heat, say, after the 20th or so? I'm not asking for miracles here, average temps would be perfectly fine...lol.
