Hehe. It's humid though, up to 76 with a dewpoint of 68. This is quite pleasant.

Well ............ 2015 is currently 3rd warmest in DC.
3rd in Richmond.
3rd in Raleigh.
4th in Islip.
6th in Bridgeport.
11th in NYC.
Say what!? July was below average here, and June was nowhere near top 10.

I guess the heat is staying east of the Appalachians? Also, if I'm not mistaken, you've been much wetter than the East Coast. That could contribute to your cooler temperatures.

Hmmm, maybe.. Lexington 20th wettest summer. Bridgeport 16th driest on record so far. But DC, Richmond, and Raleigh haven't been too dry. Maybe more sunnier than normal days helped?

You're lucky at least you have that to ease the pain if anyone is outdoors. When we're at that level of temps we get zilch.

I spoke to soon before.. we warmed up into the 80s again. What else is new. Warm 60s in morning. Very warm 80s in afternoon. No breaks yet.

That 31F is this.

10 mph breeze does literally nothing when it's 94 F with humidity. It's just a hot wind blowing around. No cooling effect unless you're in complete shade.

Ah, I see from that latest map a couple 86s in this area. Maybe my phone was right.

LOL @ the 31 in or around Wilmington, NC. Some weather station's not quite working right.

The warmest that I could find is 106F.

104F is forecast in Alexandria Monday by TWC. Not looking forward to the next couple of days.
