Wow that's crazy. That's almost as much snow as Vancouver has received this month alone and they got it in one storm.
When you go west from the Strip it's uphill all the way to Summerlin, about 500 feet more in elevation from the Las Vegas floor at 2165. Even higher in altitude is Anthem, which goes up to 3200 feet.

Still 500 feet isn't a huge difference in elevation and the climate in Summerlin doesn't look much different. That amount of snow must be close to a record if not a record for them.

Tij is not really good at geography. Present Summerlin peaks at 3,000 feet right at Summerlin Pkwy and the 215. Coming pieces will get up to above 4,000 feet near Red Rock.
I suspect they probably had to bring snow and salt removal equipment from elsewhere in the state.
