Are Small Volcanic Eruptions Slowing Global Warming?

Small volcanic eruptions might eject more of an atmosphere-cooling emissions into Earth’s upper atmosphere than previously thought. New ground-, air- and satellite measurements show that small volcanic eruptions that occurred between 2000 and 2013 have deflected almost double the amount of solar radiation previously estimated, according to a ne...w study accepted to Geophysical Research Letters. By knocking incoming solar energy back out into space, sulfuric acid particles from these recent eruptions could be responsible for decreasing global temperatures by 0.05 to 0.12 degrees Celsius (0.09 to 0.22 degrees Fahrenheit) since 2000. An astronaut on the International Space Station took this striking view of Sarychev Volcano (Kuril Islands, northeast of Japan) in an early stage of eruption on June 12, 2009.

1. Now they are looking for the excuses.
2. They admit global cooling since 2000.
3. It's the generation trend thing. Get ready to see the opposite alarms next decade.
4. Either you're ahead of the curve or behind it
5. Don't be the sucker in the scam which already has gotten too far
6. Time to hear about the sleepy sun and alive volcanoes now.

Get ready folks... They are all realizing the globe hasn't "warmed" in almost 2 decades and now guess what.... here come the excuses we'll start seeing. They will slowly ease it onto the public

Putting fear into our minds all these years.

And NO, these weather extremes are NOT tied to the "globe". Australia temps have nothing to do with the record cold and snow in the northeast. Period.

Zimbabwe's temps have nothing to do with the record heat in western U.S. Period.

Stop looking at the "global" temps and start looking nearby for answers (ie: Pacific Ocean) Then realize how ridiculously short our record keeping is and know it's ALWAYS happened and even more extreme in the past!

Take your political "weather" threads to the politics forum please.

I'm starting to believe more and more than Global Warming may be massively over=exaggerated for political gain. According to data we haven't seen any warming for 17 years.

I hate politics. Just So nice to see NASA has admitted global cooling since 2000.

but don't volcanoes only cool the earth short term? volcanoes also release lots of c02 which is a greenhouse gas.

This is what I have been saying for 10 years. We are no longer warming.

personally I don't think we are cooling or warming really. if we where cooling we wouldn't have record warmth in some parts of the globe and if we where warming we wouldn't have record cold in other parts of the globe

But those records are breaking in within what timeframe? 100 years? 130 years? The world is much older than that those records are not really breaking anything its just a climatic cycle.
