Here in coastal Los Angeles:
Highest temperature: January 17, 88F (31C). Pretty much all of January has been warm and sunny. Perfect beach weather.

beautiful temps, not so great precipitation (nearly 0)

Gloomy start to Feb being partly sunny, light rain, upper 60s but then a warm up forecasted to mid 70s.

Didn't you say in another thread that LA was in the 80s and 90s almost every day this January?

no, i said it hit 90 a couple days, 86+ on 4 days, and at or above 80 for almost half the month the rest were in the low to upper 70s.

I made a weather box for the official Malta stats from Luqa Airport & one for my stats (sun figures for both from Luqa). We were both around 2C above the LTA...

January was really nice in Vancouver this year. We had one week of pretty heavy rain (got nearly 120mm in that week) and the rest of the month was quite mild (a bit above average, I believe) and relatively sunny. Definitely felt more like early spring than winter at times.
