Too many links to read as I'm not that familiar with most of the climates listed. In cases where I have to read the links, I prefer choosing between only 2 or 3 climates.
Being from Linz (well, Hellmonsödt [850m]), I actually have to vote for Linz
Climate wise it's quite nice. To much fog at around 750m in winters, so it seems to be a bit cloudy (even though it's fog) then. But you can always go to nearby Mühlviertel for your sun. Summers are pleasant, much more so than in Vienna or Hungary where it's far too hot and humid.
