Wow, what flipflop weather. Wed. we hit 58 degrees.
Yesterday we hit 40 and our avg. is only 36. The winds were roaring so it wasn't a nice day though. Even our low stayed above average at 25 when the avg. is only 15.
We were over 20 degrees this morning and that was our projected high. It's dropping and it's 19 with a windchill of 5. We're supposed to hit minus 1 tonight so with the wind it won't be nice.
There's a snow/sleet thing going on out there, too and it's supposed to be here off and on until either Friday night or Saturday.
In 1896 we hit 68 for this day and in 1993 we hit minus 21. That's an 89degree difference for the exact same day only different years. Strange weather we have up here.
although visibility is a little better now, most schools in central Minnesota have announced they are closing at noon and cancelling all night activities.
We've even had a few schools with late starts and some have actually closed. Ours seems to be so slippery cause it's kind of a mix. And for those who've never lived in the upper Midwest~school closings are rare and it has to be really bad for that to happen or we'd be closed half the year.
This day is sure going downhill. We're at 10 with a windchill of minus 9 and heading downward fast.
