57 degrees right now (4:00 PM) at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, which is considered "chilly" for Phoenix, and we're supposed to drop down around freezing tonight/tomorrow morning.

another exceptionally cold and miserabe Melbourne summer day. At 11:30am it is 64ºF / 17ºC and overcast with rain

Forecast suggest even colder weather and continual low presure systems coming one after the other. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Man that stinks for you guys down there. It's supposed to be Summer!

Here it is supposed to be winter, and it is. right now my thermometer is showing 0 and the low tonight is supposed to be -5F with some strong winds coming up toward morning so the wind chill is going to get to that bitter stage I have a feeling. Tomorrow the high is going to be 5F and very windy with blowing snow. Oh joy! Looks like another day plowing snow.

If anybody doesn't know about wind chill, in a nutshell version - it is how cold it actually feels due to the moving air coupled with the actual air temperature. Take tonights forecast for here for an example. Actual temp is supposed to be -5F with winds of 25 MPH and gusts to 35 MPH. If you look on the chart, it will feel like it is -31F overall and -34 with the gusts.

Here in the South of England it's 5.3C. It's warmer than it was this morning! The high for Sunday is supposed to be 4C, that's around what, 40F? So, not too bad.

Yea, and just think~they've changed our windchill charts so it probably would've been -45 in years past. Your temps are COLD right now.

Karla, I could tolerate your climate.

Right now? COLD!
15 F (-10 C) with about 15 mph (25 km/h) sustained wind, as of 10 pm.

Coldest I've seen so far this year was about 7 or 8 F for a morning low.
Is that still milder than where you are Jammie?
