Ideally: two peaks. Summer thunderstorms in late summer/early fall. Peak with some light snow in December and January. Relatively dry springs, early summers, and late falls.
Winter. More snow that way. Summer rain doesn't appeal to me much. I guess it can be refreshing if it's a cool rain, but otherwise it just disrupts outdoor summer activities and makes everything gloomier. Some people like high summer rainfall tropical and subtropical climates for the storms, I guess, as I can think of few other reasons for its appeal (relief from heat/sunshine, contribution to a greener landscape...am I missing anything? Wildfire inhibition, I guess?)
Winter.
It is so cozy sitting inside a cafe drinking hot chocolate when its grey, cloudy, cold and rainy. Summer should be sunny, to give more chance for outdoor activities. I do not mind some rain in summer though.

Summer can be sunny with high rainfalls, summer short warm rain is lovely.
Winter should be sunny, cold and sometimes with snow storms.
A grey cloudy false winter (with cold rain) make me depressing.
Summer to both put a lid on the heat and virtually eliminate wildfire risk during that season, and because winter aridity helps with the sunshine then.
I like rainfall that is evenly distributed throughout the year, but a summer maximum would be preferable to a winter maximum. I don't like extended periods of drought during the summer.
I want some thunderstorms, but a grey summer is depressing.
