Ok, I posted a version of this in another thread earlier, but adjusted it to be a bit more realistic. I've taken the best parts of a rather continental climate like Chicago and mixed it with oceanic influences, like Vienna.
It is mainly a climate based on Central or (former) Eastern European averages, and might appear a bit dry but gloomy to many parts of the USA. The winters are rather cold for most Europeans as well, but on the contrary, summers are sunny and warm.
I'm not going for freak weather changes like in Denver, but a stable and predictable climate that has few, but possible surprises. Heavily influenced both by the continent and the ocean, this region experiences truly four distinctive seasons.
Very nice, B+. I like the gloomy winters with small diurnal range, sunshine distribution is perfect and summers are alright. It didn't get an A mainly because it's not wet enough. Summer record highs could higher and I'm not a fan of the significant seasonal lag in winter. But still pretty decent to my tastes.
I don't like it much. Make it 10F colder in every month and I'd like it. As it is, it is too warm in all seasons, the summer nights particularly, it's too sunny, it's too boring, and it doesn't have enough snow. On the plus side, I like the precipitation figure. My grade is C.
