Here's the summary for London.

Provisional June 2012 Summary - London Heathrow

Avg max: 66.4F (-3.6F)
Avg min: 52.7F (-0.4F)
Mean: 59.5F (-2.0F)

Highest max: 82F (28th)
Lowest max: 56F (3rd)
Highest min: 63F (27th)
Lowest min: 44F (5th)

Days above 75F: 1
Days above 70F: 8
Days above 65F: 22
Days above 60F: 27

Rainfall: 4.1" (231%)
Days with trace precip: 15
Sunshine: 110.2 hours (54%)
Days with measurable sunshine: 27

Well below average temperatures and sunshine, and well above average rainfall. It was the 5th wettest June on record at Heathrow, the 10th coldest (up until the last 5 days it was the coldest), and by far the dullest - the 110.2 hours of sunshine recorded smashed the previous record of 132.5 hours set in 1990.

There may be hope B87 - The Eng. average of 122 hrs for June 1990 was follwed by 261 for July and 217 for August, and I gather those months were warm and dry as well.

July and August 1990 were warm and sunny, but June 1987 was similar to June 1990 and that summer was cool, wet and cloudy.

Aug: 26.0C/14.7C, 26.8 mm rain, 249.3 hours sun

1987
July: 21.8C/13.2C, 77.3 mm rain, 176.1 hours sun
Aug: 21.8C/12.5C, 57.2 mm rain, 172.3 hours sun

Looking at the long range forecast, it would appear that July will be similar to June. Temps look close to average but it's going to be pretty unsettled.
Hopefully the weather will be good for the Olympics

London's 2 week forecast is below average all the way, most days only about 19-21C.

I'll laugh if the weather is horrible for the Olympics

Lowest Maximum: 15.1 C
Average Maximum: 21.1 C
Highest Maximum: 24.8 C

Total Rainfall: 122 mm

Total Sunshine: 174.7 hours
Avg Sunshine / Day: 5.8 hrs/day

Total Days 0 Sunshine: 4 days
Total Days <= 3 Hrs Sunshine: 10 days
Total Days >= 8 Hrs Sunshine: 15 days
Total Days Missing Sunshine Data: 0 days

Much cooler than May, but still very pleasant for a winter's month (I am still adjusting to the fact I can wear just shorts and t-shirt for most days during the month).

I have noticed here the diurnal range is greater than where I lived in Sydney, i.e. the mins are as cool (actually feel cooler as we are living in a Queenslander which, although nice to look at, do not retain much warmth!), but the maximums are much greater. The sun definitely has more strength here.

Anyway, we have a few periods of extended rain and cool, the worst being between 23-28th when just 1.8 hours of sun was recorded over the 6 day period and over 60mm of rain feel. Furthermore, not one day exceeded 20C which is very unusual for this sub tropical city.

The poor sunshine over this period dragged the mean sunshine down to just 5.8 hrs/day, which is below the long term average of 6.8 hrs/day.

The last two days of the month exceeded 23C and was a nice relief after the cool, rainy spell.

Average Maximum: 18.5C/65.3F
Average Minimum: 6.4C/43.5F
Mean: 12.45C/54.4F

Highest Maximum: 23.2C/73.8F
Lowest Maximum: 13.2C/55.8F
Highest Minimum: 14.6C/58.3F
Lowest Minimum: -0.8C/30.6F

Total Rainfall: 91.6mm/3.7"
Days with >= 1mm: 7

A very nice June with rainfall more than double the average of 40mm. It was also the wettest the month of the year so far, which is highly unusual as this is normally the drier part of the year. Sadly, there were no thunderstorms, but this is normal. Because there were higher amounts of cloud cover, the diurnal range this month was smaller than usual, and the temperature dipped down to 0C or below just twice.

Paris-Orly

Avg max: 21.2°C/70.2°F (-1.4°C/-2.5°F)
Avg min: 12.7°C/54.9°F (average)

Highest max: 31.6°C/88.9°F (28th)
Lowest max: 15.6°C/60.1°F (12th)
Highest min:18.1°C/64.6°F (28th)
Lowest min: 6.1°C/43°F (5th)

Days above 75F: 6
Days above 70F: 14
Days above 65F: 25
Days above 60F: 30

Rainfall: 75.4 mm / 3" (looks fishy, as all the other weather stations nearby have recorded around 100 mm)
Days with trace precip: 24
Sunshine: 140 hours
Days with measurable sunshine: 28

So this June is the first below average since 1991 (!), and obviously the coolest since then.
