Fictional climate battle - Mild or extreme? (snow, hot, warm)

On one side, I've tried to come up with an extremely mild oceanic climate.
In a way, this climate should appeal to both heat haters and cold haters as it is virtually devoid of really cold or warm weather.

27°N at sea level, on an island somewhere in the Atlantic :

Precipitation evenly distributed across every month in the form of short to medium duration showers. Sunshine around 50% every month.

On the other side, a climate that, conversely, shall appeal to both heat lovers and cold lovers as it features both cool/cold and warm/hot weather almost on a daily basis with a marked contrast between Hong Kong'ish days and Scandinavian nights.

27°N, in a dry, yet monsoon prone area at a very continental location and significant elevation.

Spring and fall months are sunny and dry with around 80% and little precipitation.
Summer is both sunny and wet with many short-lived thunderstorms bringing heavy downpours. Sunshine is once again around 70%.
Winter is generally dry and partly cloudy but some snow is possible during the morning. Sunshine varies between 40% and 50%.

Standard deviation of temps is very high.

Record low : -16°C; record high : 44°C.

Your Nice-ness is showing. I don't think your extreme climate is going to get much love from the cold lovers here: no snow, highs on the coldest month of 19 (!)

Strangely, perhaps, I'd be happy in either climate. The mild one is pleasant all year but not great, the extreme one is a little nippy and little hot but winter highs are great and summer highs are moderated by good lows.

Impossible to choose for me. Both have merits and negatives in equal measure.

It looks a little like the Azores or Madeira, but they're both in the 30s.

Looks a lot more like Norfolk Island ( 29S ), however, or a cooler Easter Island ( 27S ). Maybe flip the details a little and make it 27S in the Pacific and at a higher altitude?

Looks like a good compromise; I would rate both as B-/C+. I like the mild one better because there's absolutely no need for A/C.

The "extreme" one is comfortable, but the highs are too high year-round. 19 C is not winter. At bare minimum it should be in the 50s, IMO.

I'll go with the mild one for the cooler highs and lower sunshine.

The extreme isn't that extreme at all, and as a cold lover I don't really like it too much, coldest average high 19 C? And the mild one is too mild...

I'd go with the mild one despite the fact that I love heat.. I am loving that record low of 3°C!
