I grew up in Houston never had problems with my skin, I moved to California 21 years ago, after being here for about 5 years I started having problems with my skin. Always dry & itchy & pimples. The funny thing is the skin on my body is perfect just my face is a mess.

The temperature has had an effect on my skin since I have some sort of skin condition, but I don't know exactly what.

I think I have eczema (I haven't gone to a dermatologist yet, shame on me) and, whatever it is, it flares up during the hottest part of the summer. That's part of the reason why I hate this climate so much; in addition to dripping buckets of sweat, I'm itchy as all hell when I have to venture outside during the summer and the eczema lotion only helps somewhat. Once October hits and things start cooling down, the hives all over my torso disappear to the core parts and the itchiness is gone, which makes it much easier to manage.

Skin conditions suck. I envy those who don't have them, as they can move to wherever and not have to worry about how their skin would manage the climate.

We age quite quickly due to the harsh effects from the evil sun. It's worse up in Queensland, people walk around with horribly winkled and waved skin. Here, in Sydney, some people actually walk around with umbrellas to keep the sun off them.
