Verizon gets the best signal in most places on the peninsula. The key word in that sentence is "most". There are many outer lying areas on the peninsula where cell phone signal is minimal to non-existant. Overall, I think you'll be happy with VZW.
Most people seem to use Wave Broadband for their cable TV and/or internet services. I can't speak from personal experience here though as I'm one of those odd ducks who doesn't have a TV, preferring books instead...
