Hi all,

If all goes well during my trial run next week, than I'll be moving to the Pacific Northwest within a month or so. My job will be based out of Blaine, but I'll be doing lots of field work throughout the region, and my wife is currently looking for work in the region as well. Chances are good she might be working somewhere in or around Seattle.

In order to minimize both of our commutes, we're trying to find something half-way (maybe around Mount Vernon, Everet, or one of the little towns in that area.

We're looking to rent for the time being, so which areas might be good to start looking at? We really hate cookie-cutter subdivision neighborhoods, but are otherwise open to anything, so long as it isn't a gang infested ghetto like the one we currently live in (west-central Tucson, AZ)
