I'm about to be a new RN and was kicking around the idea of moving. Is it possible for a new Rn to be able to support herself and child in Washington? I don't know about specific areas. The best to raise a 9 year old... Any info would be great.

It could be possible, but what kind of town, life are you looking for?

A big city like Seattle, mid-size town like Olympia or an über small town like Forks?

Well, I'm used to uber small, but I'm very open to trying out something new. Right now, my son goes to a Christian school because the public around here is horrible. My main focus would be the best place to raise him. If the public schools are good, I could save money on tuition. Honestly, I don't know too much about the area. It just looks so beautiful and my son and I are both craving some real snow.

Oh, I also wouldn't be opposed to living in a smaller area and commuting to a larger one for work. As long as the commute wasn't too entirely long I could handle that. I know the larger areas tend to pay more.
