When you get the news paper you look for the bargins on livestock and not what Channel has for sale at the mall

You know somethings wrong when your dog barks and go to see instead of telling him just to shut up

Conversations and arguments can be made up of where you got the seed the cheapest and what rail you chose to keep the cattle in

You know the smell of dead skunk on the road

You don't have to ask what your neighbor is growing in the fields cause its the stuff you got.

...you know what stars look like (and I don't mean seeing Tom Skerrit at the 5th Avenue

...you know the names of your neighbors and their kids

...you never lose your car keys because they are always in the ignition of your car. Duh.

...you've never paid more than $6 for a hamburger

15 MPH winds are just a slight breeze.

You go camping at the local lake so you can go home to water.

You curse the coasties everytime a car alarm goes off in the camp ground.

Hehehe.....Harharhar... Best comment ever!!

I grew up as a Coastie, moved to SW MT in my 30's. In the last decade, I have developed a certain amount of contempt for the drivers in W WA. Throw a little snow down and watch the panic .

I do miss the green and the rain some days though...

Wow I almost forgot about this thread. Almost 6 years ago! I will add more that I have noticed:

-You think of the Tri-Cities, Yakima, and Wenatchee has the "big city."

-You know how to use a siphon.

-Your town has a Hispanic and Spanish speaking majority.

-You have seen a rattlesnake in the wild.

-You call Western Washington "The Coast."

-Mexican and Country radio stations make up the majority.

My advice to people from the paved over I-5 Corridor is stay home and and don't bring your 70-80 mile an hour speeding habits to other parts of the state. Than you and the rest of the people who don't share you insanity well both be happy.

LOL!!! What a great idea for a thread!

What about - you have to stop at an intersection and are considering road-rage because you have to wait for two cars to pass. It's just gettin' too crowded around here.

Or - The weekends are the only time you DON'T go fishing or swimming at the lake - because that's when all the Coasties suddenly show-up.

Or - Your idea of a thick forest is the three big sage-brush plants over on the wheat hill.

You will know you are in Eastern Washington when you find out all the dirt roads lead to Pullman.
