Clouds and some rain earlier followed by a sun and nice sunset. It's nice to get off work and enjoy the warmer part of day which has been the theme lately with rains in the earlier half and then clearing.

Cheerful puffy clouds over our his and hers eagle trees today.

Unusual to see both parents off the nest. They are taking a break from sitting with the baby(s) during all of this rainy weather lately.

Drove up to Bellingham today for the first time.
What a nice ride.
Missed the last ferry by 2 cars so did the wait thing.
Here is the Port Townsend paper mill a couple of minutes ago.

Today was one of those PNW spring beauty days in Vancouver for sure. Blue skies, sun, big puffy clouds, warm temps and so many shades of green!

I take it this is La Nina weather. I hope it means less fire danger this summer.

I gave up and planted my tomatoes today. Soil temperature finally hit 60 degrees today.

What a AWFUL spring. We have been BELOW normal since March!!! Normally, I plant my tomatoes on March 1st and in a good year have ripe tomatoes by May 1st.

Not this year. Finally planted them today. I spent most of March in Arizona so didn't replace the soil heating cables like I planned for this year. I thought by the time I got back from Arizona, I would not need to heat the soil.

Tomatoes like a soil temperature of 75 degrees. Has anybody tried watering them with 75 degree water?? Seems that might work to get the soil temperature up and some root growth. We are finally getting consistent sunny to partly cloudy days in spite of the cool daytime temperatures.

They are in a raised bed with a cloche over them.
