The past couple of days have been sunny and warm in Vancouver. No smoke or fires down here. In looking at a fire map, it appears Canadian fire season has already begun. I'm not sure why they tend to get so much fire in the Great While North. Montana and parts of Idaho are bad too. It seems even worse than places further south. Even California looks better currently.

Here's pics from the past couple days. I went for nice walk after dinner last night at sunset and didn't need a jacket with temps in the low 70s and no wind. It definitely feels like summer now only better since everything is in bloom or about to.

58 degrees and hazy, gray. It's supposed to top out in the 60s today (and the next week). I wonder if the upper level smoke from Canada that's causing the haze is also keeping the temperatures down. Not that these temps are abnormal for May.

Today was sunny and reached 80 in Vancouver. The evening after work and dinner felt like summer outside. It made for a great time to paddle on the Columbia which is warming up nicely. We had a colorful sunset to close out the week!

High of 66 degrees, the wind is a little bit cold but the sun is warm, blue skies.

Today was cloudy most of the day in Vancouver. Then in the afternoon the sun broke out and it got into the mid 60s. Here's a few pics from this evening's walk.

52 degrees, raining. Typical May weather for most years. If you want the house temps above 62, heat or a wood stove is needed. The sun didn't break through yesterday (all day clouds) but there was a tiny thin strip between the clouds and horizon at sunset where some sun came through.

Partly cloudy today in the mid 60s with more clearing toward the afternoon. It's nice that it cooled down some from the 80s/90s we had ~ a week ago. I like 60s better especially with some sun mixed in. No A/C needed. It's better on our garden as well. Flowers and trees don't do so well in the 90s.

That's amazingly sunny. We're in the clouds and fog all day today. The beach was so foggy it was hard to see where the water ended and sky began. We didn't quite make it to 60 degrees.

It seems like we trade off. When its too hot in Vancouver, you've got mild 70s up north. Then, when its cold and cloudy there, we've got more sun down south. I guess you can't have it, right?
