Being from the midwest i love to eat alot of meat. I know for a fact when i'm done with school i'm moving out west either northern california, oregon, or washington. I know either of these 3 states probably have great fishing restaurants, and i'm not talkin reb lobster type of fish even though there bread rocks my socks off (i love fish only one of the few people out here in iowa that i know of that does.) But i also love tenderloins. I know the best place to get good tenderloins is in the midwest especially in iowa (pork capital of the world or so i'm told). I was wondering if there are any good places in washington that makes good tenderloins? Your info would be much appreciated.

A lot of people think that all there are in the northwest are seafood restaurants, collint, but there's some good steak restaurants too.

A Seattle favorite is Daniel's Broiler (http://www.schwartzbros.com/daniels.cfm - broken link). Also, the Metropolitan Grill is a Seattle institution when it comes to a good steak.

The Seattle area also has several Ruth's Cris locations too.

Others will hopefully chime in on other great steakhouses and other dining establishments a midwesterner might feel right at home, in other Washington locations.

edit: oh, and one of the best filet mignon I've had was at, believe it or not, Anthony's Home Port, a seafood restaurant.

I agree with 'Rocco...

Also, don't forget about El Goucho...another fantastic steakhouse in Seattle.

But, just like everything else in the area...be prepared for the slightly higher prices in our restaurants than you may be used to

Jak's in U Village and West Seattle is the best non-national steakhouse... Best value and best steaks, and not as expensive as some of the places downtown.

I'll second El Gaucho. It's an eating experience in itself.

Buenos Aries Grill in Seattle is great. It’s an Argentina place.
