hey,
i'm (seriously) considering moving to longview from south dakota with my boyfriend. We'r going to live with some friends of his who have plenty of room and are eager for help with the rent. my biggest concern is finding work. i don't have a college degree or any peticular trade but i need a job where i make enough so if things don't work out with me and my moving mate, i know i'd be able to survive on my own (here the jobs i'v worked pay 8-10 dollars per hour). What is the average pay for average jobs there, something between being a lawyer and asking if they want fries with that? Also, i'v read alot of negative opinions about the area and very few positive ones, but if anyone living there has any constructive advice or seriouse concerns i'd be really interested to hear them

PS: i love the rain, and the crime rate doesn't bother me that much (even in south dakota we have crime) so if those are concerns you don't have to worry.

This is also a question that I am interested in getting some input on, being that I am also not a College Graduate...Is it even possible for a non-grad to survive in Washington, being that the cost of living is so high?
