Which is a nicer place to hang out for a weekend......Bremerton or Edmonds? Why?

For those of you with personal experience with either, how is the Admiral Theatre and/or Edmonds Center for the Arts for a live music event?

I'm considering a Christmas gift for one or the other......thanks in advance for any feedback.

How about each rated toward restaurants, shops, history, scenery, waterfront, laid back atmosphere.....just to wander around for a weekend in addition to a show at one of the theatres.

Restaurants: Edmonds by far.
Shops: Edmonds
History: Bremerton gets the nod there.
Scenery: Both, but slightly to Edmonds.
Laid back atmosphere: Edmonds. Bremerton is definitely nicer than it was 20 years ago, and crime is lower there, but Edmonds has never been known as a bad area.

Is there train or rapid rail service from Edmonds to Seattle? If so, where do I find a schedule?

I grew up in Edmonds but have been to Bremerton. I prefer Edmonds because of it's more beautiful setting overall. Although it is a suburb of Seattle, Edmonds has a more "set apart from the city" look than Bremerton does. Both cities would make worthy places to visit and enjoy for a stay, though.

Expect a decent amount of traffic on Edmonds' Main Street. It runs from the ferry boat off-ramp at the railroad tracks eastward towards the neighboring town of Lynnwood, WA. Have fun in Edmonds! It's a beautiful little city but remember, I'm kind of partial towards it.

The Sounder goes from Seattle right into Edmonds. You can Google the schedule. It doesn't make a ton of trips, from what I remember the last time I looked it up.
