E-burg and *** are quite different, *** more agricultural/industrial, while E-burg is agricultural/college. You can take Canyon Road between them, way low posted speed limit of 45 MPH and somewhat of a speed trap, but it's an interesting drive and scenic. I-82 is an option but it's longer, with several big hills.

Jobs are a bit hard to come by in E-burg unless you are a college professor, and even then there has been some downsizing. The downtown area seems to be having some problems with absentee landlords jacking rents to untenable levels, businesses closing.

But E-burg has a nicer downtown. Yakima downtown went downhill pretty bad a few years ago, is getting better now.

Smile Yakima Area

Bethany, Hope all goes well on your move to Yakima Valley. I brought my kids up in Naches, a small predominantly white town a few short miles from crime ridden Yakima. It's fresh air, no gangs, highest ranked BClue Ribbon schools in the State. There are lots of activites nearby. And it's small town, homey enough without nosy neighbors. Teachers are great! Good luck!
