I was looking at the April events in DC and wondering if the Cherry Blossom parade held in DC is good. Would a 3 yr. old enjoy it? Any pointers. Thanks!!

There will be lots of stuff for kids. Three may be a little young, but you'll enjoy it too. Washington during cherry blossom time is beautiful.

Try the paddle boat rides at the Tidal Basin.

The festival can get really, really crowded tho. If you want to see the trees, plan to go early in the morning, or later in the afternoon. Also, try to go before a hard rain, otherwise alot of the blossoms will get knocked off. If you can metro, def. plan to do that instead of driving, b/c you'll be stuck in traffic for a while. It is beautfiul and def. worth it!

I think so - just be prepared for lots of crowds, and bring some snacks for the little ones...there are usually lots of kids tents during the festival if you miss the parade. Also, there's the Cherry Blossom Family Day at the Nat'l Building Museum, here's the link: Family Day & Opening Ceremony
