I was wondering if there is any reason NOT to visit Washington DC during a Sunday. I've never been before, and I'd like to get as much in as possible in one day, but it happends to be a Sunday. Is it worth it? Thanks!
The good thing about Sundays is there are no parking restrictions in DC so you don't have to worry about that, especially if you want to visit multiple areas.
I agree with the posts above. My only advice is to check the Washington Post online and make sure that there are no major scheduled events on the Mall or in downtown D.C. the Sunday you plan to visit. Periodically there's a race or rally that closes off streets in downtown D.C. or around the Mall. You can still visit the museums and monuments on those days, but driving around can be a bit of a pain.
