I'm looking for some information about Saybrooke Apartments, just North of Rt 124 @ Emory Grove Rd. Is it a safe community? Anyone on this forum live(d) there and have any concerns or comments about the property?

Got great recommendations already about the Kentlands part of Gaithersburg - looking for input on this particular property.

My friend who is a used to be a fire fighter at NIST said that Emory Grove is not where people would want to live.. but I've never been there.

There seems to be a roughly $300/month difference in rent between the best places and decent places for 1-bedroom apartments in Rockville area... I think the $1,150/mo that Saybrooke wants for their 1-bedroom units is a very decent price for the area, given that you can rent some seriously crappy places for that money, according to tenant reviews online. "You get what you pay for", if you do the right research...

It's OK. It is situated on a very busy road, so that may be or not may be a good thing for you.

Whatever you do, avoid Towne Crest like the plague!

I have heard good and bad reviews about this complex. I think it depends on who you ask and what time period they lived in the complex or area. It's an area where I would say crime does occur...its known as "124" but that mainly runs down Washington grove rd from parkland apts to Towne Crest apts/townehomes...wouldn't consider the area dangerous it was much worse in the 90s and early 2000s.

Flower hill shopping center is a 1 min drive about a 5-10 min walk from the apartment complex. Giant grocery store Starbucks dominos are 3 major franchises.
Lake forest mall is located a few miles down the street about a 5-10 minute drive.

This area doesn't have the best reputation being that it's in Montgomery county but I still think it's an decent place to live. Mind your buisness and dont look for trouble
