That's a long stretch of R.1 to be considering for better pedestrianization, Sunnyside Ave. to the MVA, particularly with the rail line to the east. I'm not against peds just have a hard time envisioning it working in the next 30 years. I guess that's what plans are for.

they've already upgraded some of the sidewalks directly on rt. 1.

money is the only limit.

Suburban pedestrianization typically needs to include a lot more than just building sidewalks. There has to be something to walk to. There's not much of that on the northern section. The southern section has a different set of challenges. If this is going to be funded by PGC alone, without state/federal $$$, I don't foresee much happening soon.
