hi,

i looked at a place on Dawson Ave in Rockville near the Rockville town center. All the surrounding houses look great, except the building i saw was old. Is that a safe area for a single female?

thanks :-)

Spotcrime shows an assault on May 25 in the 300 block off Dawson Avenue, but nothing else nearer than the Town Center. You might see if the Rockville police can tell you anything.

Otherwise, the nearby elementary school is highly rated and has a somewhat diverse student population, but it's not overwhelmingly minority.

I see the buildings on Google streetview, and the do look like they were built as low-budget housing. According to the property records they are owned by a family LLC. So I don't see red flags.

I'd suggest going there in late evening, esp on a weekend to see if you see anything that makes you uncomfortable.
