I may be taking a job in Suitland, and I was trying to get a rough idea on normal commute times from following locations: Bowie, Edgewater, Chesapeake Beach, Upper Marlboro, and Waldorf. Appreciate any assistance.

From Upper Marlboro the commute would be under 30 minutes any time of the day, the only bottleneck would be a little stretch of Rt. 4. Bowie is a little further out but you'd still be looking at around 30 minutes, and you don't need to get on the beltway. There will be some construction on Rt. 301 near Rt. 50 over the summer so if you lived in that part of Bowie it could be just a little longer but just for a couple of months.

Waldorf is also close, but I'm not sure what the traffic is like coming north on 301/5 in the morning. My guess is it's not good.

BTW, I take it you would be working at the Census Bureau or NOAA??

Upper Marlboro will be the shortest...Around 30 minutes or less depending on traffic...
