I am asking because a friend of mine is looking to purchase one, but she wants a 2005 or newer. She has a 2005 Jeep Liberty with only 40K she is selling, because she wants something smaller now.

I told her I would try to research them for her, but have not had much luck. How are the 2005+ models reliability wise?

Thanks.

I have seen where the 2006 changed slightly in some areas, but seemed to have more problems than the 2005 model.... at least according to consumer guide....

Thanks. I will look it over and report back to her.

She wanted either one of these or a PT Cruiser... I advised against the PT for obvious reasons. lol. According to consumer guide though, they seem to rate the PT Cruiser pretty good, but I have heard bad things about them.

She has a nice 2005 Jeep Liberty Sport 4wd with only 39K that she bought brand new, but wants something smaller now. She had priced it to another friend of hers for $9000, but when her husband found out, he was cross and said she was not taking less than $11000 for it. She told her friend and they still want it, but she wants to find her a car before she sells the Jeep.
