The developers did an excellent job modeling Los Santos after the real city.

Agreed. GTA V’s Los Santos and IV’s Liberty City were really well done. It appears that the next one will once again go back to Vice City (Miami).

I look forward to the day we have the computational capacity to have vast 3D landscapes with intricate detail that mimic real world areas. It's the generational jump when new consoles come out that really drives the advancement since money talks, so it will be some years away yet until we get another huge jump with a PS6, but we've made some nice progress the last few years after what seems like a decade of stagnation with old consoles and incremental improvements.

The release of Zen 4, Raptor Lake, AMD 7000 series video cards, and Nvidia 4000 series graphics cards should spur some powerful gaming systems, assuming we can keep crypto in a destroyed state so this hardware isn't wasted mining bits of coinage.

The bigger question is what do you intend to do with all that area? Having a large open world sounds cool, but it needs worthwhile content to justify its size.

The game Elite Dangerous already offers a 1:1 scale recreation of the Milky Way Galaxy. Although most of it is procedurally generated, it’s still an impressive feat. Unfortunately, one of the biggest complaints is that the content is repetitive.

How much money have you folks accumulated in this game? I’m at 1.5 Billion LOL. Cayo Perico doubled it for me.
