We just got back from our trip to the Burlington VT area. We went to 5 parks and 2 beaches in the 3 days we where there. We had no issue to bugs and we did stay down at the lake till sunset on Sat. night. There were some nats in the wood (the tiny ones you see everywhere else (at least here in Maryland they are everywhere at night) that are harmless. We did see 1 tick when we hiked deep into the woods at Red Rock Park in South Burlington. Which I would say is normal and much less of a danger then it is here in Maryland where you really do get ticks in you own yard all the time.

I just read the article in Yankee magazine about Lyme disease. My heart goes out to anyone that has to endure living with that. I was scared of ticks before, now I am really scared of them!!
