If you don't mind dark, cold, snowy, long winters, high taxes, long drives & state income tax, by all means join us in Jeffersonville, Vermont. A small town in the northern mountains of Vermont. Great sense of community, average schools, 45 minutes to Burlington, 4 completely distinct seasons, home of Smugglers Notch Resort and drop dead gorgeous summers.

Didn't you make this same post in NH? You even copy and pasted the replies you made to those posters into this one.....

You're going to be given the same info here as there. The states are similar in weather, if not colder in Vermont and more exensive on taxes. You cannot compare winter in NC to winter in Northern VT or Northern NH and you are insane if you do. Take all the warnings you got in NH forum about weather, taxes, commutes, col etc and just apply to VT. There's your answer for all the same questions you asked.

Default why not NC or TN?

We don’t want to go back to NC (or TN) and I’ve ruled out most of the south.

I've visiting both places and was pleasantly surprised, since I found them, at least at first glance, to be much more desirable than VT (which I plan on leaving). Can you tell me what you didn't like? I'm planning to take another trip down there to scout areas for relocation. Thank you.
