While I did post this in another thread (in the rural/small town section), it certainly seems appropriate here as well.
Brattleboro's downtown-facing west, from atop Mount Wantastiquet in Hinsdale NH, Memorial Day wknd. this year.
Lower left is Main St./Canal St./Rte. 5 (and the food co-op). Middle left is Austine School for the Deaf campus.
Middle towards right is High St./Western Ave./Rte. 9 (where farmer's market happens, near covered bridge).

Yes. And a cookie. And a cupcake. The line wasn't as long as other times but worth the wait either way.

All of a sudden....it just kind of happened. I think the overcast skies this morning really made the colors pop. I'm guessing we'll hit peak in the next week, week and a half?

Nice shot! I always find it interesting how different areas progress faster/same/slower than other areas.

I would say about 60% of trees at least started changing here some more pronounced than others.. 40% still fully green still. But as you drive you don't have to look hard for the change now.

We are 1 week behind last yr but 1-2 weeks behind usual. Funny to think by November 8th we were bare. That's just 7 weeks from now.
