I'm beginning to wonder if they are getting fed up with the campfire smoke from up the road...people might laugh but many a nice night it gets so bad you have to close the windows, poor birds are stuck with it.

Looks like its going to happen as we've been discussing. Friday looks to be the coolest day over next 7 days.

GFS Friday minimum temps on left, NAM Friday Maximum temps on right.

It's going to feel great waking up to 40s here and only staying in the 60s during the day. You guys are lucky with the chance of 30s. Might have to cover up the plants if there's widespread 30s like that although they can probably take a light frost for one night.

Big thunderstorms here last night but thankfully, humidity left with them.

Definitely beautiful this morning. Finally! When you live near the coast you appreciate these dry days so much more. We're always last to get days like this and first to lose it.

As far as upcoming temps, I usually mention the interesting factors because sunny and normal is pretty boring to me. So if temps are being shown in the 20s or 30s or 80s or 90s in September I'll most likely mention it. I see warmups (to seasonable) but not well above normal temps in the near future. There are more well below normal temps coming then well above.. We'll see.

Enjoy the taste of fall. Great hiking weather!

Mt Washington saying snow and sleet possible on the higher summits of NH tomorrow.
Heads up hikers; maybe some icy trail conditions above 4000'.

Don't worry, you didn't jinx it...just timing was perfect because that's when it was supposed to come by. Today.

Check out the reinforcing cold front coming down. Look at the current air temp behind it.

Did you guys see any good photo opportunity with this front? Looks like it would look incredible at the surface.
