Yup...most think a cremee is the same as soft serve, it's not. The high content of milk fat makes it so good. Thankfully all the ones around here are the real deal.

Yup, I've conquered a Vermonster, once, with a group of friends in high school. It was huge, but if I recall, we polished it off. There were about 8 of us.

"The whole raw egg thing keeps me from taking my girls to eat a cree-mee. "

I'd bet that the eggs have to be pasturized now. Personally, I don't have a problem with raw eggs. There is a miniscule chance of salmonella. What I avoid are places that scramble eggs in batches. One bad egg can contaminate an entire batch, and your chances getting ill are greatly increased.

So creemee and soft-serve ice cream isn't the same thing? I haven't tried creemee yet. B&J's is pretty good and I like the fun flavors but it is expensive.

When we first moved up here and did some grocery shopping I was shocked not to find Blue Bell Ice Cream up here. Then I told myself "Duh! You're not in Texas anymore silly!" LOL. I miss my Blue Bell Talk about good stuff!

We had the Ben & Jerry's seconds store in Johnson for awhile, that was always exciting. But free cone day was the only excuse to go to B & J's factory, drive 20 miles each way for a free $2 cone brilliant. Best B & J memory was the introduction of Phishfood with the concert at the Flynn, that was back was Phish was still a quality band.

We sat around and cheered him on, but alas it was just too much!!!!

He was the same guy who ate 11 plates of all you can eat clam strips at the local Howard Johnsons. He's just a normal size guy, but he must have a hollow leg, or something.!

Haha that is funny. My 19 year old daughter who weighs 97 lbs soakin wet, ate a Pig Trouf (I have no idea how to spell that word..lol) at Farrells Ice Cream Parlor, god knows how she managed that!! What gets me, is all the sprinkles and toppings they put on these monster Yuck
