Valentines Day special: beef hearts.

Just kidding. I'm making meatloaf for the family and tempeh loaf for myself. Roasted potatoes and steamed veggies on the side.

And naan bread. Not my own from an Indian grocer in a local Indian restaurant. Any good naan recipes?
2 tsp.dried yeast
1 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp.baking soda
1 tbsp. sesame, onion or cumin seeds, carom seeds or fresh cilantro
3 1/2 cups flour
a bit of salt
4 tbsp. melted butter
3 tbsp. Plain yogurt

Mix yeast, sugar and add 1 tbsp.tepid water.and let rise.Meanwhile sift flour, salt, baking soda.Make a well and add 1/2 of melted butter, yogurt, seeds and yeast mixture.Knead with enough water to make smooth dough.Cover and let rise for 2-3 hours.Knead again and form 16 even balls and roll each one out on a floured surface in round shapes the size of a coffee cup saucer ( 6 to 7 inch circle). Finally place on greased cookie sheet and brush naan with leftover melted butter.Bake at 400 F for 5 to 6 ish minutes til naan has brown marks on it.Serve as soon as you can.I lay the naan in a basket with a large serviette and cover them.

Enjoy

Do you have the recipe MQ?

I LOVE Amy's vegetable pot pies! My guilty pleasure. I probably have one once a month. They taste comfortingly retro.

I used to love Swanson's chicken pot pies when I still ate meat, and I missed them. Then I saw Amy's pot pies online. My closest supermarket carries some Amy's products, but not the pot pies. I was going to order them, but I happened to be at another supermarket a few towns over, and I spied them in the freezer! Very excited. I do the same thing. Usually once a month or so I have one.

I loved that about London. The pubs usually have a vegetarian pot pie. The Hung, Drawn, and Quartered Pub near the Tower of London had a chickpea and butternut squash pot pie, and one of the other pubs had one that was potato, broccoli, and cheese.
