Anybody have any good recipes for kale shake - no acidic ingredients please (i.e. lemon, vinegar, etc.). I was thinking of mixing a banana with kale, but it seems like it needs a little more than that to be a good shake. I'm trying this because I hear that kale is a super food.

People usually sweeten up their kale beverages with carrot juice or apple. Blueberry is good, too. I don't have my recipe box at hand at the moment, sorry!

Here is a recipe "Cocoa Delight" from the Fifty Shades of Kale book I have.

1 cup roughly chopped kale
1 cup frozen pitted black cherries
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, plus 1 tsp for sprinkling
2 tablespoons granulated sugar

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour in a glass and sprinkle with cocoa power. Serve immediately.

Did you know? Chocolate feels naughty but can be nice for your health, as long as you choose a variety that contains 70% cocoa or more.

Guess you could add some protein powder!
