I've been watching the numbers every day. A couple of weeks ago, WA was the #1 state for both infections and mortality. We are now down to #10 and may soon be passed by Georgia and Texas which are accelerating must faster than we are.

I take some grim satisfaction in knowing that we are at least doing something right here in WA compared to the rest of the country. Although it may still not be enough.

I'm kind of wondering why cases are rising faster in Clark County than any other metro PDX county.

The few times we've gone out to shop we couldn't help but note the near total absence of precautionary measures taken by others. No mask, no gloves, grabbing carts recently used by others, and then touching their faces or clothing, and once inside, touching every surface imaginable. It looked as though, for a lot of people, there was nothing to care about.. I guess they thought they could just wash their hands, but they had touched so many other surfaces, their children, the dog, the car's interior, etc. I may be overly cautious, but for me and many others this stuff is about life, or a miserable death.
