I enjoy both classes very much, but from a jobs and amount of work point of view, which one is better?

A degree is (almost) always better than a certificate. That said, if you are going into Poli Sci, I recommend specializing in a field that is applicable to a certain type of career. For example, get a minor in Accounting and you will be in a good spot for an IRS job. Get a minor in economics and you will be in a good position for a budget analyst type of job.

Yeah, a degree program is almost certainly a better path than a certificate program. Both are pretty broad fields, and neither is mutually exclusive. I have an undergrad in International Business Administration but am completing a Masters in City Planning right now.

If I were making the decision, I'd go with the Poly Sci. There is a lot of politics involved in city planning so the background couldn't hurt if you plan to eventually pursue a career in urban planning. However, you need to do what you feel is best.
