Do you know if "Full Moon Parties" still exist (outside of Goa)- I remember one in Ibiza a long time ago.

Not really a hippy hang out but pleasant enough.
I went to Hebden Bridge last year because I'd heard it was the lesbian capital of Britain. Great to see a couple of rainbow flags in house windows but definitely not a hippy hangout.

NOT Glastonbury! Firstly the festival IS NOT Hippy anymore and neither is the area. Totnes is the beatnik, hippy and oddball capital of the UK and is rather famous for being so.

Looking to join a happy settlement.
I've just lost my family and have literally had enough of life in the city an so on.

I am in need of a break from existence an would be grateful if anyone could give me any addresses or places I can find happiness.
Many thanks Benjamin Daley.

having lived at Glastonbury for 10 years i'd say there, of course a lot of them these days are the weekend variety and have jobs during the week but you can still see the odd full time hippy.

I thought the OP was looking for a place name rather than a place 'of worship' rather as Stonehenge. Glastonbury? I'd hardly think many Hippies reside there. If reactions decades ago from townsfolk were any indication, they were not really welcome. That's more of a festival, that attracts some want to be or pretend for a 'weekend hippies'. The prices charged would hardly be acceptable to anti materialist Hippies . Or has the entire notion of Hippies changed?

I've heard certain Welsh locations contained some tepee living Hippy types. No idea if this remains true. Can one be a Hippy in 2019? Perhaps the OP means more 'alternatives', which would include aspects of Hippy philosophy and living.

Likely hard in England today with the costs associated with living.

yes alternative types do still live in Glastonbury, but the festival isn't in Glastonbury its 8 miles down the road and should really be called the Pilton festival, i'm not sure those that attend can really be called hippies anymore, you have to have money to attend the festival its not cheap anymore and most real hippies don't have money.
