Hi all--

Anyway ever have trouble certifying (getting an error message saying you cant) and yet you randomly get a random amount of money in your bank from Unemployment? 414 dollars?

What type of wonderful game are they playing? Is this some sort of Christmas miracle from a worker or some ****? I'm befuddled and yet drunkenly giddy from the rush of seeing this money in my account. My day to certify is tomorrow so I'll try to actually go the official way then.

Don't spend it until getting verbal confirmation it's yours. Document the date/time and who you spoke to. Get email confirmation if possible.

Here. Give it to me. I promise to keep it and won't let it out of my sight .

Otherwise follow the realistic and adult ideas of some of the posters here.

Hmm, this never happened to me or anyone I know. I wonder how many thousands of people this happened to.

I wouldn't spend it either. Just as it was was miraculously put into your account, they can just as easily take it right back out!

If that isn't your weekly benefit amount, don't spend it and try leaving a message with IDES to have a representative call you back. Then tell them what happened. If it isn't yours or was deposited by accident, they're going to come after you eventually anyway.

So I figured out what happened (sort of). When the saint who looked at my issue of not being able to claim benefits at my assigned time saw my numerous attempts they not only lifted the hold but also claimed two weeks of benefits for me just to help me out. My weekly benefit rate is 230 bucks but I think they withheld some for taxes. So two weeks of 207 bucks came to 414 dollars.

Now did they swindle me out of my 600 dollars for each of those weeks? These were claims for two weeks in July before the Roided Out Unemployment expired.

FPUC $600s are processed in NJ on Fridays only and normally hit bank accounts on Mondays. If you certify on Saturday then you would miss the Monday payment and payment would come the following Monday.

If you were paid the other day for regular weekly benefits for weeks that fell between 4/4 and 7/25 you should receive $1200 on Monday.
