I have an open UI claim in North Carolina got a couple of checks already but I am seeing a new message in my Smartlinks that I don't understand.
Previously I would see Go To My Homepage under that I would see Weekly Certification on Sunday. Once I would certify the certification link would disappear until the following Sunday.
After I certified last Sunday I started seeing this new link Go To Employment Service which is a link to NC Works which is a job link. I registered got the link in my email there are no jobs anyway but that is beside the point.
Hopefully tomorrow I will see my Do Weekly Certification link to click on and file for this week. There is an option to certify by phone if you have no internet but I don't know how that goes guess it works.
So should I be concerned about this link to the employment service or is this SOP for UI?

I wouldn't be concerned at all. After all, they are supposed to be encouraging re-employment (although right now is a moot point). However, once things do begin to open up and businesses do start hiring again and the money runs out, it'll get more use.

In most states, registration with the job board is a requirement for any UI benefits.
