Hello. I was working at my local Hospital for a little over a year. I was terminated because I missed work due to my child being ill and my husband being hospitalized for en emergency. I am also currently pregnant. I applied for unemployment benefits and was denied. What exactly do I need to do to appeal this?

No one cares why you THINK you were denied. You start with the letter the UI people sent you telling you WHY they denied you. It would also help if you included your state because if you're in TX, GA, SC, NC, or FL, it's a lot tougher.

Then you submit, "the determination dated mm/dd/yy is wrong. I want an appeal hearing scheduled."

Then start preparing.
