Quick question regarding the reemployment and eligibility assessment in California.

I just exhausted my 26 weeks of California unemployment benefits and thanks to the extension on the federal benefits, the state should enroll me for my federal Tier 1 benefits now.

I understand there is a reemployment and eligibility assessment(REA)where claimants are scheduled an appointment to go down to the unemployment office and meet regarding their job search and prospects.

The problem is I'm not in California anymore. I'm in Pennsylvania and I informed California EDD of that fact months ago (they still paid me).

So am I exempt from having to go to this meeting? I assume they won't schedule me.

Any other out of staters have any experience as to what happens in this case? I'm interested to hear your experiences. Thanks in advance.

Don't worry about an REA. Many resident CA people still have not had theirs scheduled. CA probably has flagged you as out of state. We've had other out-of-state CA claimants here who were never notified on an REA, either. Just keep claiming.
