I live in NY, but filed my unemployment claims in NJ and was denied, filed an appeal.

And its been about a month, been waiting. I get this letter for an overpayment to payback for the first unemployment check I've received when I first filed claim. Before they made a decision I am denied.

Which now, I have no job, and have this debt and did not hear from the appeal tribunal for a scedule appointment. I've read online, that is the process to file and appeal and wait for the schedule appointment.

Got worried and called unemployment in jersey today and someone answered couldn't answer any of my question, it seems like she didn't know anything about the process. Why can't I work there! instead of putting employees on the hot line can't seem to answer any questions.

She said something about the appeal. On 1/6/2012 there was and upheld decision.

**** I really don't know what this means. ***
can someone help.?? why didn't I receive and appeal letter stating the schedule appointment. When will I have a fair chance to speak with the appeal tribunal instead sending my 12 page appeal letter ****

So does this mean that NJ unemployment denied my claims and denied my appeal and want to collect my debt??

Please help lost from NY.

Thank you all~
