Last week I accepted a job and Monday and Tuesday were my first 2 days. This coming monday is when I certify for UB. How do I go about collecting for the last week that I was eligible for benefits and then stop collecting in the future?

Claim only for the week you worked. Illinois will automatically close your claim after two weeks without a claim/paying benefits.

I only worked 2 days though. This week I didn't work Wed - Sun and last week I didn't work at all.

Claim for the entire week before you started this new job.

Report your earnings for the two days you worked at this new job for the second week's claim. IL will pay you a partial benefit.

Stop claiming after that. Illinois will close your claim.

Thanks!
