Sorry, I should have clarified... the online UI database first thing monday am always says also "deposit has been made" but funds are not in my bank acct until Tuesday am.
That is why I am concerned that it is Tuesday and it is still pending..
Well I received some news today for anyone else that may be going though this same situation.... because the benefit year ended WI has to send these claims to the manual entry department. The first claim cannot be a part of the automated system. (once the first claims gets done the rest will be automated as normal) Unfortunately the manual department is behind by more than a month since alot of people are in this same situation. As of today they are working on claims from 12-13-11!!! She was uncertain on estimated time frame, says maybe 3 weeks and to be patient. Obviously just keep claiming and I'll get the back pay, but holy cow.. you would think they would have some overtime or hire some extra staff with the workloads they have! This is peoples income for the moment and a whole month possibly with no checks is not going to be good!! Fingers crossed it's sooner. Just wanted to post the outcome incase anyone else may be wondering where their payment is!
Gasping, here. Whaaat??? I went through a payment delay two years ago when I received a pension payment after my benefits had already begun. I faxed all info to my case adjudicator. The very next day she issued a determination on the adjusted amount and sent the information to data entry.
Five weeks later, still no money. When I called her, she said data entry was backed up and was very hesitant to give me a date. It appears nothing has changed.
So, I then emailed Gov. Doyle, head of DWD and asst head of DWD on a Sunday night, telling them every good deed apparently deserves a punishment and mine was no benefits for five weeks (possibly ten) because I did the honest thing and reported my pension payment. Two days later, Wednesday, 11 a.m., I got a telephone call from the Governor's office saying money was in my account - which it was - all the back weeks.
I can't believe a simple bye could cause this delay. I fear you will be waiting two months for your money. DWD won't hire anyone with Walker's fixation on the budget, and, of course, the unemployed are last on the list.
You may want to try emailing Scott Walker, your legislators, heads of DWD. Since Walker is facing a recall, he may actually do as Doyle's office did and fix this for you now. He's on his fourth head of Workforce Development since he took office. However, current guy is career DWD guy (I think), so you might get lucky.
Frankly, if you do nothing, you won't get your money until April. Figure it out - they're 7-8 weeks behind.
Update... The UI ofice called me last week Friday and said it would be a couple days. (I missed the call and they left a message)
I checked this am and deposit was made! Not sure how it got sped up, I did nothing. Maybe the lady I spoke to just didn't know what she was talking about which is entirely possible... But thank goodness, I was fearful I would be waiting a while!
