That's my question...what is the legal drinking age in Puerto Rico and USVI? Is it 21 like in the States?

I have always been led to believe that the official drinking age is 18 in Puerto Rico ... however I find it hard to believe that the Puerto Rico government is willing to forgo the Federal highway funding just to let some kids drink beer at a younger age.

In the 60s any 14 year old could get a beer in a bar.

Did you go into Old San Juan and near areas with lots of Americans? Cause that would most likely to be the case. Far away from there, like my old neighborhood, and nobody gives a darn

How kind of you to watch your language by using "darn," ...living in PR for years now, I haven't heard that expression in so long :-)
